Review of Steiner Binoculars

Review of Steiner Binoculars
The Steiner Night Hunter 7x50 binoculars have a magnification of 7 with a 50mm objective lens and a field of view of 375 feet at 1,000 yards. The lenses are high definition XP optics, which guarantees excellent clarity and sharpness, even in poor lighting. The eyecups are ClicLoc and allow you to change their position. The binoculars weigh just 1.125 pounds and are made from silicon rubber armoring. The Steiner Night Hunter binoculars are water-pressure proof and can withstand up to 5 meters of water. They come with a rain-guard and objective cover to protect your lenses. Steiner offers a 30-year warranty.

Perks

The silicon rubber armoring makes them very durable, and they can handle being dropped occasionally. The ClicLoc eyecups are great if you wear glasses. The Steiner Night Hunter 7x50 has a nice, wide field of view, which is great for activities like whale watching, and the images are really sharp. If you tend to forget to put your lens caps back on or lose them, the built-in objective covers work great.

Sacrifices

Although the binoculars are overall very durable, the eyecups can break and require replacement. Also, the rain-guard doesn't stay in place, so you can't rely on it to protect your lenses. A magnification of 7 doesn't give you great detail. For better magnification, look for Steiner's 10x50 binoculars.

Bottom Line

The Steiner Night Hunter 7x50 binoculars don't have the highest magnification but do give a very sharp image. Aside from the eyecups, they are very durable and can withstand the elements.
