Scubapro Wetsuit Review

Scubapro Wetsuit Review
Scubapro's wetsuit line covers a wide range of wetsuit needs. This begins down with rash guards and shorties and extends all the way to 7-mm, one-piece wetsuits and semi-dry suits. Divers plumbing waters from Florida or Maine will find a Scubapro suit that meets their needs. At the top end of the Scubapro product line are the firm's EverFlex Steamer wetsuits. These are made from its EverFlex neoprene material, which is said to be almost as good as a custom-made wetsuit when it comes to getting a tight-yet-comfortable fit. Depending on the thickness and retailer, Scubapro wetsuits cost between $60 (for a shorty) and $520 (EverFlex 7 mm).

Perks

Scubapro makes all its wetsuits with back zippers with a big zipper-head. That makes tying a pull-strap onto the zipper easy. Many scuba divers swear by how easy it is to get a wetsuit on or off without help when that suit has a good back zipper and pull-strap.

Sacrifices

Scubapro does not make true dry suits, so nothing it offers can go into waters colder than 45 degrees F. Also, the firm's commitment to back zippers is also a commitment to one-piece suits. Ergo, it does not sell any two-piece or farmer-john style wetsuits. These are handy for creating cold water wet suit combinations.

Bottom Line

Scubapro has an excellent product line for scuba divers who ply tropical, semi-tropical and temperate waters. Its products are easy to put on and get off, which is the main concern for many divers. However, there are no wetsuits for very cold or icy waters.
