Timber Creek designed the Tellico tent with heavy duty shock corded fiberglass poles to enhance durability and stability for long lasting performance. They also added a mesh gear loft on the roof of the tent for extended storage.
Sacrifices
Due to the Tellico's low price Timber Creek made many sacrifices in its design. The main body of the tent is constructed of waterproof nylon with only a quarter fly greatly inhibiting ventilation and adding to the overall weight. The Tellico also has only one door with a cheap zipper that will not last more than a couple years. Also the seams will need to be sealed after purchase to avoid leakage in wet weather.
Bottom Line
Due to its cheap construction and lack of ventilation, the Tellico tent is a poor tent even for the low price.
