REI Traverse PowerLock Trekking Poles - Pair

The REI Traverse PowerLock trekking poles offer easy and reliable external locking mechanisms. These user-friendly poles provide steady traction on ice and rock surfaces. Strong 3-section 7075-T6 aluminum alloy shafts extend to 55 in. for use and compact to 27.5 in. for easy fitting on your pack. PowerLock™ external locking mechanisms are easy to use—even when wearing gloves. Cork hand grips have an ergonomic, contoured shape and are easy to hold; adjustable padded neoprene wrist straps add support. Fitted with trekking discs and extra-durable tungsten carbide tips; included tip protectors are strictly for travel/packing protection, not intended for hiking. Trekking baskets promote stability on soft terrain; baskets easily twist on and off.

Excellent, well constructed poles

I originally purchased the Black Diamond Trail Shock poles, but I returned them after deciding I did not want the shock feature. Picked these poles up and couldn't be happier! Here's why:-easy to adjust without taking your hands out of straps-cork grips are comfortable and absorbent, and they left me blister free-very strong; I relied heavily on them while traversing very rocky terrain with no issues-tungsten carbide tips grip great, even on slippery rocksAll of the features I need, nothing I don't. Buy these and enjoy!

Great Poles

Have been using those poles for a while now and they are just great. Unbelievably durable and strong, especially the locking mechanism holds up better than everything else out there I've tried before and I used lots of different poles in the past, due to knee problems. To say it short: Great poles for great price
