Ideal travel shorts
I bought these shorts to take on an upcoming trip to Italy after taking a packing light class. They are extremely light weight, comfortable and they dry fast. I've been wearing them non-stop since I bought them.

Very lightweight and comfortable; far more flattering than I expected (or, uh, deserve). They seem durable, and the taupe (darker) color matches easily with everything. I plan to order a second pair in the lighter color soon.

My favorite shorts
I bought these for travel and purchased several more for casual wear. I hope to get another pair in green as I love the fit. I hope REI offers more colors and doesn't make any changes in the fit or style. I would buy the green now, but it isn't offered, so I hope they bring that color back.

My all-time favorite shorts
I love the number of pockets and length of shorts. 10" sounds long, but it is great coverage and allows for the extra pockets. Most comfortable shorts I own.

I bought these shorts on sale to take on a trip to the Adriatic coast, where I knew it would be hot. They were just the right thing -- fit well, super lightweight, and dry fast after washing. I especially like the adjustable elastic in the waistband.

Bought these for our motorcycle tour of Europe to wear under motorcycle gear, and for touring. Due to limited space in motorcycle luggage, had to be something lightweight, quick dry, and wrinkle free. These shorts fit the bill in everyway. Ordering me some more!

Practical shorts
Great lightweight fabric, practical adjustable waist, practical pockets that are large enough to be useful. Reasonable waist - below belly button but sufficient coverage in the back. Nice long length. If there is a negative, it's that they are just a tad tight in the butt.
