The warm REI Plaid Aviator hat is worthy of frigid Arctic weather or a New Year's Day polar bear dip in the lake! Plaid polyester/wool exterior gives the hat a stylish look. Chin and earflaps are lined with soft sherpa fleece for warmth and comfort; crown is lined with polyester fleece. REI Plaid Aviator hat features polyester-insulated earflaps that offer protection from harsh winds; secure flaps around your chin or atop your head with the snap closure.

warm hat for big head

This hat rocks! My workshop is very cold in the AM and this hat keeps my noggin nice and warm. I am impressed with the quality of the hat, it even has a metal REI badge on the back. I have a large cranium and the L/XL size fits perfectly. I thought that it might look ridiculous but it actually looks OK.
