Peace of mind
Used this duffel to protect my backpack on a trip to France over the summer. Not only did the bag protect my very expensive backpack it also still looks like new.it went through 4 airports and came back in one peace. At times I was so tired that I was literally dragging it through the thermal, not one hole or any sign of it tearing anytime soon or if at all. My only complaint (like some other reviews) is the shoulder strap dose not easily detach. However this is havely outwaieged by the peace of mind I get from this bag. Don't waist your time with anything else.

Couldn't have made the trip without thes
My family of five was headed to the Sierra for backpacking, and I couldn't quite figure out how we should manage airline travel with backpacks and other gear and clothes for the car portion of our sightseeing. I took a chance and bought five of these duffels. We could not have been happier with the outcome. Each duffel has enough room for an 80L pack along with extra shoes and clothes. The packed bags were easy to stack on airport carts and maneuver through the airport. Bag dimensions are small enough to count as a standard (not oversized) bag for check in. The bags also worked well when car camping a

Worked great to ship backpacks on plane
Several of our Scouts travelling to Philmont used these for shipping our backpacks on the airplane. Worked great and kept everything together - even after the hike when items were hanging off the pack instead of inside. Better peace of mind versus using clear bags and duct tape. Can slide a small TSA lock with the zipper and ring on the bag.

Works Well
I used this product to protect my backpack when checking it through air travel when going to New Mexico for a backpacking trip. It was perfectly sized for my Deuter AirContact 60 +10 L pack. However, when I expanded the pack to 70L it took a bit of effort to zip the duffel. I would imagine that if your bag runs tall or is bigger than 75L that it wouldn't fit very well. It would be very helpful to make the duffel taller to accommodate larger packs.

Perfect for flight travel
We bought three of these bags for a backpacking trip to Norway. Obviously our backpacks are too big to count as carry-on so we had to buy something to protect our stuff. The bag is a great deal and certainly gets the job done. I would prefer it

Great Product
Used this duffel as a cover for my backpack on a flight to Europe. Worked perfectly in that capacity. Compresses into a tiny space when not in use. On the return trip, used it as a duffel bag for clothes that needed to be washed as well as a cover for my then-empty backpack. It held all my clothes, my wife's clothes, some of another traveler's clothes, as well as toiletries and a few gift items. When I retrieved it at the baggage carousel, it looked just like it looked when I loaded it for the first time

Love this thing
I looked for something that would do what this does forever before stumbling on it. My Gregory Palisade is huge and has a ton of straps that could easily get caught in a belt somewhere and ruin it. This does work better for larger packs, though. I have a smaller Osprey I took to Europe for a month and it worked fine for that too, but the smaller pack made it awkward to carry when zipped into this bag. Only complaint is that it's a little heavy, but when you put it on your pack, it's worth it. Very heavy duty nylon.
