The REI La Selva is our storm-worthy trench-style jacket offering wet-weather protection and smart versatility. Believe it or not, you'll actually look forward to rainy days! Made of a beautiful 2-layer nylon/polyester blend fabric, the breathable REI Elements®-rated shell is waterproof and windproof to 60 mph. All seams are sealed for complete protection. Adjustable hood can be zipped off when it's not needed. 2-way front zipper with stormflaps offers a versatile fit and protective comfort. Removable belt has a buckle adjustment and 3 bonded belt loops to hold it in place. Bonded cuff tabs with buckles and rip-and-stick adjustments. Bonded flaps cover 2 zip chest pockets and 2 zip hand pockets. Interior document pocket; zip stash pocket has earphone cord port. REI La Selva jacket features a classic, easy-wearing fit.

Excellent for work and traveling

I am giving 4.5 stars because I am very satisfying with the product, but there are some room for improvement. Good quality and very stylish, yet functional. Love the pockets and also the hood to snap on for a sudden shower. Hope the colar is shorter not to touch the chin. The buttom front velcros should be replaced with the snap buttons not to run my stockings. Water protection in the rain was OK, but not in the stormy condition.

Really love the smooth lining- great for long sleeve layering. The hood is well proportioned, and the zipper pockets are spacious. The compliments fly when I wear this jacket- it is perfect for spring!
