Terrible fleece, what a disappointment
I was so disappointed - this looked great and is cute, but the fleece is the cheap awful stuff that smells musty/petroleum-y, and is slightly sticky instead super-soft like most fleece. I am shocked REI is using this low-quality fleece fabric.The orange color is also more of a copper than the soft orange that appears on my computer screen.

There are so many options when it comes to this type of fleece jacket so why get this? Well, first of all, it's on sale (a GREAT one!), and second, it's well made like more expensive barnds. My son likes the suade feel of the material and the extra pocket right on the chest (with a zipper). I like the color and the weight of the fleece (not thin or heavy) and the ease of putting it on (with a full zipper). It's made quite fitted so if you like it on the loose side you need to size up. This is perfect by itself or wear it under a down jacket on a very cold winter day!
