REI Aldervale Roll-Up Pants - Women's Petite

Bought the Aldervale pants for camping/hiking summer trip up in the mountains. The size 4 petite is TTS and fits waist/hips well. The pants are lightweight, comfortable and stretch without any sagging. Great for strenuous hike and drys fast. The temps dipped to 50 degrees at nite so the pants are not for the chilly weather. The snap-roll up is great feature - can wear with heels for casual day living.

These pants are exactly what I was looking for...stylish, lightweight, convertible, casual, breathable and on sale! They fit my somewhat narrow-hipped petite frame very well and the petite is actually that...short enough to avoid drag and long enough to avoid frump. Haven't yet worn these pants cause they just arrived today. Which means I also cannot comment on durability. The roll-up feature is awesome...cute tabs to keep them rolled and the fabric is so lightweight the roll is not bulky at all. This is a winner REI!

I just LOVE these pants! I tried them on because I wanted a pair of cargo-style pants for hiking that is quick-dry. The fit is amazing for me. Being petite and having small hips, it's hard for me to find anything... I bought these for my summer in Colorado. I have worn them hiking, climbing, and to my research job where I have to take samples of a lake. I am constantly scraping them over rocks and getting them dirty, and they always look good as new after I wash them. They are great for hiking with elevation change in the summer because they will keep you warm but can be rolled up in the heat. I've been rained on a ton and they dry relatively quickly.Best pants purchase ever.

I was looking for a great pair of travel/hiking pants to take to SE Asia on an upcoming trip, and these are perfect! Super light and breathable, easy to pack and don't wrinkle, and they are flattering. These pants are so comfortable! They stretch and so far seem to be of good quality. I have used them for backpacking several times and they dry pretty quickly when I wash them during the trip. I wish they came in dune beige color...but I still like them for all the other reasons.

I have a hard time finding pants that aren't too baggy in the legs. These fit great! - they're trim but still comfortable and easy to move in. I like the flexibilit of the roll up legs. I wore them all week on a recent camping trip, and they looked as fresh on day 6 as on day 1.

Great pant. Light and breathable. Wish the pockets were deeper or atleast had zippers so stuff won't fall out. Can't hardly carry anything confidently in these pants. Otherwise they are great.

I bought these pants for hiking in the summer as well as rock climbing outside. These pants meet both needs.They are incredibily light weight and breathable, great for hiking the heat of summer. They protected my legs well from the various plants, including thorned plants, overgrowing the trail. Despite getting caked in mud, they washed up great. The drawstring was a nice feature for keeping them up while carrying a loaded pack.As a rock climber, I need pants that are stretchy enough not to hinder my movement. I am fairly flexible and have tried on many pants that won't let me pick up my leg as high as I need to in order to climb easily. These pants provide a full range of movement for me.I am 5'4". The petite was a little short on me, but for hiking and rock climbing, I'd rather have them just hitting the tops of my sneaker style hiking shoes rather than dragging in the heel.As an added bonus, these are actually pretty attractive pants as far as hiking pants go. I was pleasantly surprised with how good they look.
