Excellent gloves!
This product works excellent! I used it for a ropes rescue course this week and these gloves never let me down. We were rappelling, tying knots, clipping carabiners, the works and I never had to take my gloves off for any of it! The extra padding in the palm does exactly what it is supposed to do. I was able to lower not only myself, but also a "victim" that was clipped onto me. Never once did I have to worry about my hands getting hot. I will definitely buy these again once these wear out, but that is going to be a long time. After rappelling all day long the leather hasn't worn a bit!The only bad thing is that the hole to put your hand in can be a little tight. I normally wear a small size glove, but with these I couldn't get my hand into a small very easily so I exchanged them for a medium. Perfect fit. I would recommend trying them in a store before buying.

Superb!
A great all around rappelling glove. The palms are double reinforced leather and it's nice that they come with a sewn loop so that you can clip them to your harness when not in use. I've done 100' free hanging rappels with these and my hands did not get hot from rope friction.
