Couldn't haul well without it
I have climbed El Cap numerous times and hauling can be difficult. Haul bags get caught under roofs, chimneys, and pods. Haull bags need to be able to rotate under these conditions to keep it from getting stuck. The Swivel is a great tool to have while hauling. Don't leave home without it especially when on El Cap.
