Pearl Izumi has combined an airy sport upper with the award-winning outsole to produce the X-Alp Drift II, a summer biking shoe usable in or out of the pedals. Stiff nylon plates provide toe spring, flexibility and rigidity for pedaling and enhance off-the-bike comfort. Lightweight, soft EVA midsoles absorb shock, return energy and provide cushioning; additional support in heel pad supplies cushioning off the bike. Quick drying, highly breathable mesh and synthetic uppers offer protection and durability; low-cut construction reduces overall weight. Linings feature a barefoot construction that provides a comfortable fit with or without socks. Pearl Izumi X-Alp Drift II features a quick lacing closure system that takes just 1 pull for an exact fit. Rugged carbon rubber lugged outsoles supply superior traction. SPD compatible (cleats sold separately).
