Lightweight, highly breathable and moisture-wicking, the Patagonia R1® full-zip women's jacket can be worn alone or underneath a shell jacket for alpine ascents. Versatile R1 fleece provides excellent stretch, warmth, moisture movement and breathability in a variety of temperatures. High/low interior grid-structure enhances compressibility, airflow and drying time. Jersey microfiber face speeds moisture wicking and allows nonbinding layering. Features a center front zipper and zippered hand warmer pockets. Shoulder yoke offset provides comfort under pack straps. Slim fit minimizes bulkiness. The Patagonia R1 full-zip jacket is 100% recyclable through Patagonia's Common Threads Recycling Program—simply return your worn out item to Patagonia.

Patagonia R1 Gets Even Better This Year

I wear the Patagonia R1 full zip under my lightly insulated ski jacket and it's the perfect layering piece for colder days. The R1 jacket is lightweight which prevents bulkiness under my jacket-- but, it's extremely warm and breathable. Another bonus is the 2010-2011 R1 is a little longer which is ideal while bending over to put on ski boots and the jacket doesn't ride up over the top of your ski pants. I also wear it alone and under my black Patagonia Puffer Vest. I wear a large in most jackets and this jacket is true to size. I have it in purple and french roast. I absolutely love how this jacket fits, and how versatile it is.
