The Outdoor Research Covet soft-shell jacket offers a great combination of downtown style and high-mountain performance. This jacket resists wind and wet weather and keeps you warm when it's chilly. Embossed-pattern nylon soft-shell fabric remains breathable while shedding wind and light rain; bonded microfleece interior wicks moisture and enhances warmth. Adjustable, brimmed hood zips off when you want to leave it behind. 2-way front zipper allows fit adjustments and venting; brushed collar lining is soft against skin. Snap-tab cuffs and adjustable, self-fabric belt add street style. The Outdoor Research Covet jacket features zip hand pockets and a zip sleeve pocket. Closeout.

Amazing for Chicago-style weather

I bought this jacket for spring and fall weather which can be fairly extreme in Chicago compared to summer. I bought it in April and was worried that I might not actually use it (I just thought the color and style were pretty!), but I ended up using it immediately! It's not breathable (con I listed), but I don't see that as an issue. This isn't a wind breaker. It's meant to keep you warm in 50/60 degree temps and keep you dry when it rains. I find that the length is even more of a benefit. It fit perfectly for my size and it is extremely functional. LOVE!
