The North Face Split Crew T-shirt uses lightweight, quick-dry materials and performance-oriented details to keep up with you every step of the way, whether your goals are about distance or speed. Polyester honeycomb fabric is infused with FlashDry™ volcanic minerals to boost wicking and drying times. With a UPF 30 rating, fabric provides very good protection against harmful ultraviolet rays. Underarm gussets and stretch fabric encourage free range of motion. The North Face Split Crew T-shirt has flatlock seams for chafe-free comfort. Closeout.

Great shirt but delicate fabric

I ordered this on closeout taking a chance with an online purchase. The cut, feel, fit, warmth, comfort and range of motion are absolutely great on this shirt. My only complaint is that the material snags really easily so after a couple wears it has treads from the weave hanging out and lots of runs (like nylons get) from these snags. And it snag on anything with an edge or course texture. I still wear and like the shirt, it's very warm but light weight the fit and texture as a base layer are great. I have a feeling this particular technical fabric, despite it's benifits, is too delicate for most uses. Too bad because I love the way it feels otherwise. Either way, I'm still impressed with the design and construction.
