Poor performance.
Not up to the usual hi standards of North Face.While the hat did keep out the rain, my head was wetter inside due to sweating than if it was raining.The brim was so flimsy it made the hat unusable as it would fold up and turn the hat into a 'skull cap'

I love it!
I bought this hat for hiking in the state park this spring. I'm not going to let the rain stop me :-) [...] the hat is amazing. rei is the only place i could find the asphalt grey color. I wanted that color because it will go with anything. The hat performs well. A person can wear it down or there's velcro on the sides to wear it up. also there's a chin strap to customize the fit. The price is also very reasonable considering the quality. I'm very happy with my purchase.
