About Nevada

Nevada (NV) is nicknamed "The Silver State" and has a land area of 109,826 square miles which makes it the 7th largest state in the U.S. Its largest city is Las Vegas, the capital city is Carson City, and its highest point is Boundary Peak at 13,140 feet. Nevada joined the Union in 1864 as the 36th state, and is blessed with many great trails, including Gold Strike Hot Spring, Charleston Peak National Scenic Trail and Arizona Hot Spring.
