Wet inside and out
I was looking for a rain jacket to keep me dry on my daily bike commute to work. I live in rural Alaska and we have had a fairly wet summer.I was talked out of the Patagonia Torrentshell jacket by an enthusiastic REI employee who was very excited about the Lightweight Dry.Q™ EVAP nylon that this Mt. Hardware jacket had to offer. It sounded appealing. The light weight and price, as well as the employees enthusiasm on this product reeled me in. I didn't like the color's the women's jacket had to offer, so I opted to go with the Men's small (I'm 5'8" 155 lbs). It fit well, a little tight at the hips, but I wasn't going to complain about that. Plus, I loved the bright green color. After wearing it on a daily basis for 3 months I was left very unimpressed.Even when it wasn't raining out (but very windy) I would come home drenched - in sweat. All of my layers would be soaking.Worse, when it rained, the jacket did not seem waterproof. Within a month of wearing it you could see the water soaking through the layers. My husband bought the same jacket and his seemed to repel the water better than mine, but still shortly after purchase, his started soaking through as well.I quickly got fed up with being wet

Best Rain Shell!
After returning several other brand waterproof rain jackets (mainly due to poor sizing issues), I have very happily settled with the Plasmic! The day I purchased the jacket, it endured a heavy downpour for 30 minutes, and performed like expected; no clamminess or perspiration and completely dry. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, and the small is the perfect fit, slim, but not too slim, just enough room for some layering underneath. I recently tried TNF Venture jacket, which also had good reviews, but TNF small fits more like a Medium or Large, which swallowed me. I recommend the Plasmic to anyone who needs a high-performance waterproof jacket, whether urban biking, or trekking through the rainforest, this jacket will keep you dry and comfortable!

Great waterproof jacket!
After several attempts at a solid waterproof rain jacket, I have happily landed on the Plasmic Jacket! The day I purchased it, it endured a 30-minute downpour, and performed as expected: no clamminess, no perspiration, and completely dry. The jacket is amazingly comfortable, which for me, has been hard to find with other brands. I tried TNF Venture, but their small fit more like a Medium or Large. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, and the Plasmic small fits perfect; not too slim, but just enough to add layers underneath. I highly recommend this jacket for anyone looking for a high-performance, comfortable waterproof jacket.

Great Jacket
I nabbed the Plasmic a little over a month ago and I love it. It's lightweight, and the Dry.Q Evap seems to work well too. The water/windproofing is solid and the water resistant zipper works well. The hood is adjustable and fits my Black Diamond Half Dome just fine. I don't get the clammy feel some shells have after wearing it for a while ei
