Thornguard™ fabric is a durable, go-anywhere fabric with 4-way stretch; new AFX Super Durable Water Repellent finish repels water 5 times longer than standard DWRs. Soft Micro-Chamois™- lined waist wicks moisture to help you stay dry and comfortable; adjustable webbing belt offers a personalized fit. Gusseted crotch and articulated knees enhance comfort and motion. Zippered thigh vents offer controlled air circulation. 10 in. ankle zippers with snaps allow fit adjustments. Zip-off scree cuffs keep out debris. Includes hand pockets, zip thigh pocket and zip rear pocket.

High Hopes Dashed

A lot of what Mountain Hardwear makes appeals to me on a functional level. I own a lot of MH gear and of late I've found poor quality control in some of the gear I've purchased or tried on. My latest disappointment came with the size of these pants. I tried on two pair, both marked mens small/short and found one was a full inch longer than the other yet marked the same. I also found that the 'articulated knee' didn't articulate and seemed to bind when I similated a high step. A (taller)friend who was with me, tried a different pair on and found the same thing. Hmmm. I suppose I'll keep looking.
