Excellent Hat for Winter Hiking
I used this hat in a few snowshoeing hikes, including a winter climb to Mt. St. Helens. It is very warm, protects against wind (covers ears), fits well, and as far as I can tell wicks moisture reasonably well too. It is also relatively light and compact.

Mountain Hardwear Winter Hat
Great warmth. Stays locked in. Bought this hat for our trip to the U.P. - where temps were zero. The hat did it's job of keeping my head warm and it's comfortable where it sits over the ears and down the neck.

Great Hat
This hat is stylish. It provides great wind protection and heat retention. It's a great, overall winter hat.

Not bad for the price.
Purchased my Perignon back in November 2012. I chose the all black version, in size L/XL. I've used the hat in light rain and snow, in temperatures from 10° to 48°F. Never used the hat in winds above 40 MPH. I have a fairly large head, I wear a hat size 7 3/4, and I wear glasses. Why did I chose this particular hat? Cost, and to help block the wind. Plus my ears get really cold when I wear a beanie.Okay... If you have a big noggnin, like me. The Pe
