these are great trail running shoes that I also use for occasional road running. I've run distances upto 50k on trail with these and they are by far the best trail shoes I've had. they are lightweight, responsive and strike a fine balance between protecting your feet and letting you feel the terrain. I highly recommend them for someone who is looking for a minimalist shoe yet needs some protection.
