Breathable nylon mesh uppers with supportive synthetic leather overlays offer superb flexibility and ventilation. Variable widths between lace eyelets work with the support "frame" of the overlays to enhance medial support and offer a secure fit. Nylon linings wick moisture off your feet and dry quickly to keep feet comfortable. Compression-molded, multi-density EVA midsoles are lightweight and offer great response and comfort over the miles; heel frames enhance stability and support. Thin hard EVA forefoot plates protect against stone bruising by dispersing point pressure; thermoplastic urethane shanks supply torsional stability. Gryptonite™ rubber outsoles on the Montrail Badrock Mid OutDry cross-training boots feature a multidirectional tread pattern for great traction on rugged trails.
