About Montana

Montana (MT) is nicknamed "The Treasure State" and has a land area of 145,552 square miles which makes it the 4th largest state in the U.S. Its largest city is Billings, the capital city is Helena, and its highest point is Granite Peak at 12,779 feet. Montana joined the Union in 1889 as the 41st state, and is blessed with many great trails, including Mid Creek, Three Passes in Glacier (Backpacking) and Boiling River.
