Too big and heavy

Bought them online because I liked the look of them. These just feel big and heavy in every way. I'm a D width and size 10 in almost all shoes, so pretty average. They're WAY too wide, a little too long, and overly heavy. My foot's sliding around front to back and side to side, they feel like they'll fall off if I don't scrunch my toes. I like a flip flop that's soft, just molds to your foot and feels like it's not there. Out of the box they're a little stiff too. I'll try a size 9 in the hope they're narrower too, but not holding out much hope that they'll be keepers.
