Great Shoe. I would buy this one again.
Bought a new pair for the first time before a 4 hike in the Sierra Mountains. Had minimal time to break them in and they worked Great! No rub or blisters and the traction was great.I am new to the hiking scene, bought this brand based on the recommendation from the store sales person who knew where I was going.

Nice boots but not for my ankles
Good boots except that they could not be adjusted to support my ankles properly. My ankles felt sprained after each of 3 Five mile break-in hikes. I did carry a 35 lb. load on 2 of the five hikes. I was disappointed because my feet like the Merrill footpads and were ve

Great out of the box
I have an ankle issue and these boots took care of that for me. I can now hike 10-12 miles without issue.

Lightweight, sturdy,and waterproof
I put in 3-5+ trail miles every day, 365 days per year. I go through a lot of boots. I have been wearing Merrell lightweight waterproof hikers for many years. Since relocating from the southwestern US back to New Hampshire, my feet have been taking a lot of abuse on the rocky trails, so I decided to move up to a slightly heaveier, sturdier boot that provides more protection and has a stiffer sole. I was not looking for a heavy-duty backpacking or mountaineering boot, just a full step up from what are effectively trail sneakers. I have had these Phasers for abaout a month, and they are exactly what I hoped they would be. For my needs, they are the perfect combination of lightweight, sturdy, and waterproof.

Great boots
For work, I've been purchasing these for over 10 years and and I also use them for hiking. I've had about 10 pairs over that time and I love them. Be sure to try on at least two pair of the same size. I have found differences. The only negatives are the waterproofing wears off over time and inner and outer layers of the laces separate over time (i.e. break).

Great Shoe
I use these shoes for everything I do during the day. Walking the dogs, weeding you name it. Needed no real break in and have been a happy customer. I have an older pair of these shoes I bought in 2004. Those are my gardening shoes now. heh

Great boot for the price
Bought these boots primarily for fall/winter use. They performed great on a couple snowshoeing trips (day and overnight), as well as on some mixed condition backpacking (rock, mud, compacted snow). They broke in quickly and without blisters, and kept my feet warm but not hot. They have a good mix of comfort and support suitable for extended moderately strenuous trips. As for cons, the t

Great boots!
BOught these boots as I was tired of sore feet and short-lived time of other boots I have had in the past. Have not put several miles on these hiking all over Idaho, Yellowstone, Grand Teton and beyond. No issues at all with these boots. Most comfortable my feet have ever been in a pair of hiking boots.

Great Comfortable Hiking Boots
