Great Light Hiker

These hiking shoes work great for me for dayhikes and multi-day backpacking when on trails. I prefer heavier and stiffer boots for off-trail dayhikes and backpacking, though. The waterproof lining caused them to be a little on the warm side when hiking this summer in Utah's Wasatch Mountains, but that is to be expected and is not a big deal.

I would by this product again.

I use this product for everyday as well as hiking and walking.Merrell is and has been one of my favorites. They wear well and do what they are advertised to do.My only problem is that there is little, at least in my case, arch support. I needed to add orthotics.

Not as waterproof as I thought

We hike every day, all year, in Minnesota weather. These shoes are waterproof in puddles and mud, but the tops (which were advertised as waterproof) are NOT. In wet grass the mesh lets in water and leads to soaking wet socks. I can only imagine what hiking in snow will do... I ended up buying a size larger than I would normally wear and those fit fine. My regular size was too short in length although the width w

No durable

I bought these in March and they never were waterproof. Today I noticed that the sole is separating from the shoe. Cheap construction.

Did not work for me!

Tested over 25 miles found the soles just too soft to use on any trail with stones or rocks

Not Very Breathable

I got these boots to wear to the office on rainy days and they are fine for that use. Recently however I used them as a camp shoe where the temperatures were typically in the 40s. My wool socks were always damp when I took the shoes off. The boots are not as breathable as I would like.

Not as good as it used to be

Years ago i bought my first Merrels and they were very good, thus when the time came i bought another pair. I bought this model because it was very similar to my first Merrels and it's indeed comfortable and i love it to walk and hike, but it broke on my first casual hike (less than 10km) and i returned it to REI where i was given an new pair of the same model. I have used it only for a few months, and still i haven't make any real hike, and it't broken again. The soles aren't glued as it should and they are falling apart. The quality of Merrel seems to be worse than years ago, thus i won't buy them again.

Too Stiff

I wish that there had been a way to soften the shoes. The back, around the ankle, hurt

Lightweight and comfortable.

Nice lightweight shoe. They keep my feet very warm, and have great grip on loose gravel to smooth rock. Waterproofness seems to be good, I haven't walked through really wet conditions though. The only issue I had was they were a little too soft. I could feel rocks under my feet, and my arches didn't get enough support (I have skinny flat feet). So I swapped out the soft innersoles for Othroheel Sports innersoles (which are harder). Worked a treat.

This is my 3rd pair of these!

I use these shoes for work and camping. They are great all around shoes. The Moab Waterproof was a better experience than the Moab Gortex. The gortex let water in only a couple of months after purchase. These waterproof ones last a bit longer in that regard.

Comfy

Feel very comfortable. I bought these days before I went to New York. Wore them for the first time walking to and from public transportation, as well as around the city. They did not hurt as I was breaking them

Great Everyday Shoe

I wore these shoes for over a year for everything from day to day use to hiking to trail running. The durability was great and I loved that they kept my feet dry without sweating. I would still be wearing them but the sole at the heal work through. They fit true to size and width. The problem is I can't find the color I had in my size anywhere. As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. I do receive items from Gore for these purposes.
