Description

Merrell Moab Ventilator Cross-Training Shoes - Men's

These highly breathable Merrell® Moab Ventilator cross-trainers work hard on all your active warm-weather endeavors. Dura leather/nylon ventilator mesh uppers offer ample breathability, flexibility and support for long-lasting performance. Protective rubber toe bumpers ensure durability and abrasion-resistance; heel loops aid in entry. Mesh padded tongue protects instep against lace pressure without inhibiting breathability. Nylon mesh linings absorb and disperse excess moisture for more comfortable feet in hot conditions. Removable 4.5mm footbeds are anatomically shaped and add cushioning for improved comfort. Full-length, compression-molded EVA midsoles supply cushioning and support for all-day wear. Air Cushion® heel pockets provide extra shock-absorption under heels and help stabilize footstrike. Nylon arch shanks provide extra stability and support. Vibram® Multi-Sport™ outsole with Trek and Super Trek rubber deliver reliable traction on both wet and dry surfaces.

Good, Solid & Comfortable Shoe

After hiking 600 miles this Spring I developed a bad case of plantar fasciitis. I needed a comfortable cross trainer with lots of support that I could use as I slowly recuperated my foot. The Merrell Moab Ventilator has worked very well. I especially like how the shoe is designed to secure my heel while providing very comfortable cushioning.

I love these shoes. They are amazingly lightweight, which is something that I thought I wouldn't care about or notice, but these shoes are awesome. I wear

Good, sturdy shoe

I purchased the shoes in advance of a family vacation in which we visited four national parks, and a few tourist destinations. Needless to say, we were on our feet a lot. These were the only shoes I wore. They provided good ankle support (I roll them easily and it hasn't happened once with these shoes) and good traction on loose rock. I did learn that I tend to stand with most of my weight on my heels and walk heel to toe. These shoes seem to be designed for the opposite

Merrels

This is my husband's third pair. He wears them all the time. After a few years, we just go To REI to buy the same shoes again. I have a similar women's style. We both love these shoes!

Great Hiking Shoe

this is my second pair of Moab Ventilators. I hiked the Grand Canyon in 2012 from Rim to Rim in one day wearing these shoes and I had no issues at all. The toe box is spacious and the soles are perfect for hiking. Good traction and comfortable. I always reach for these shoes when going hiking or camping.

Great for casual hiking!

These are awesome shoes. Even though they aren't found in the Hiking Boot section, I use them for hiking in the woods and they are great. With a pair of wool socks, they dry out very fast if they get wet. I can hike all day long and be comfortable.

NOT the same

The first generation of the MOAB was a GREAT shoe, and I think its popularity is based on the cult following that they had in the beginning. The version they make now is INFERIOR to that shoe in every way. My fi

Comfortable Once You Find the Right Size

I have been wearing the Ventilator shoes about 1 month now. They are cool and comfortable. My feet seem to be more stabilzed and my knees feel better. The sizing is crazy, however. I normally wear a 9.5, but I had to get these in size 11.

Comfortable, sturdy walking shoe

I bought these shoes in the hope of taking them trekking through Europe next summer. I've worn them for about a month, and I"m convinced they will serve me very well. They are comfortable and seem sturdy and durable. My feet get a little warm and sweaty in them, but there is so muc

Rugged and Lightweight

I have been wearing the Ventilator for nearly 4 years and they have never let me down. I wear them daily in Afghanistan where I teach Bomb Disposal. They let my feet breathe and that's critical now that the temps run up to 109F in the summer.

Super comfortable shoe!

Probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have these for my daily shoe and I also have the water-proof version for my hikers.

Exchanged then returned

Every shoe in my closet is a size 11.5 from my Allen Edmunds dress shoes to my Nike workout shoes to my Vans casual kicks. I bought these in 11.5 and found them to be way too small. Went to REI and through a very friendly retail visit, exchanged for a size 12. When I tried these on my toes were still wedged against the front of the shoe. Seriously mis-sized. Bought a North Face shoe instea
