Like tennies for hiking
These are my go-to shoes in rainy weather (about 3/4 of the days here in temperate rainforest). The lightest and most flexible hikers I've found - no stiff slappy sole to bruise the balls of my feet, even on frequent 5-mile road walks. I own two pair and alternate days to allow them to dry/air out. I have not tried running in these, but feel they would work well for that purpose.

Not Waterproof

Didn't work for me
I needed to find midlevel water proof lightweight shoes. I purchased on Friday and after three days, I could not wear the shoes after 1 mile. I needed to find a pair of shoes that I will be wearing for 37 days of walking (pilgrimage Camino de Santiago in Spain). So I returned the shoes and exchanged for Saloman. I believe it is my feet, not the shoes. Needed the room around my toes.
