Not the softest
I pretty much lived in this fleece for a week in Peru in towns and in mountains. Quality is fine, but the texture is not as soft as a typical Polartec. It is a light fleece which I wouldn't expect to wear in very cold conditions.

Good value for the price.
This is a great product. I purchased it as a light weight fleece to wear when cool and in combination with my rain jacket when cool and wet. I spent 3 weeks in Ireland and this jacket and my rain coat performed well when hiking the trails and/or waking around the small towns and historic sites.

So close to perfect!
I'm 5'6" and 180 pounds so finding a jacket or any clothing is tough. Medium Marmot jackets tend to fit me well, this one is as close to a perfect fit as I could buy off the rack.Lightweight, keeps me warm enough for walking

Great fleece jacket
I wear this jacket with a smartwool base layer shirt for hiking at temperatures 30F-50F. When it's windy, I just wear a windbreaker over this jacket. The jacket is lightweight and warm. I'm very happy with this jacket.

Doesn't get any better
Excellent quality and much warmer than I imagined for a Polartec 100 jacket. This is exactly what I've been looking for to add to my hiking kit. It even packs small enough to fit in its own pocket. It's cut more slender than a brand X fleece to save weight, but still fits my "bay window" just fine.Best part? It actually weighs exactly the same as advertised! Even in XL, it's exactly 14 oz.
