Terrific for travelers on the move -
Drove across Canada staying at Provincial Parks instead of motels. Plenty of room to sit up and get dressed, no contortions. Possible to sit up and read, knit, plan next leg of trip, eat. AND, no bugs got in. Quite a feat in Canada!! Downside, fly touched tent and condensation bled through, would have preferred an enclosed vestibule -- with floor. Glad it didn't rain, probably would have been soggy.

Pulsar 1P - Light and roomy
The Marmot 1P is not minimalist, but close. It is a bit wider than a 1 person tent and long enough for a 6 footer with room to spread out, sit up and not be claustrophobic. Set up is a cinch. In six days of use I had no condensation on me or on the foot of my bag. With all the mesh it is not a 4-season, however the bath-tub is deep and the fly is low, so I expect it will work well in rain and wind. I replaced the stakes with lighter and sturdier MSR mini hogs and the lines with a Nite Ize Figure 9 Tent Line Kit.

Marmot Pulsar 1
This tent is a great buy. Is it the lightest 1-man out there? No, but this tent is bombproof and is worth the extra weight that comes from the fly and is a good place to have the extra beef anyhow! I am 6'3" 200lbs and there is plenty of room to spare! Still haven't had the opportunity to stake and guy the tent out (set it up in my living room) and am a little curious to see how far the fly goes down on the tent body. I will post another review and pic once I set up the tent in the backyard!
