Marmot PreCip Safari Hat

Take cover from the rain, wind, sleet, and snow with the Marmot PreCip® Safari Hat. Waterproof, breathable PreCip material reduces condensation and that clammy feel, for next-to-skin comfort. Breathable polyester mesh lining wicks away moisture and dries quickly to keep you comfortable. Brushed polyester headband has the soft feel of flannel and traps warmth; it also helps manage moisture for comfort. Brim can be turned up and secured with internal magnets on both sides. Internal shockcord lets you adjust the size for just the right fit. Removable chin cord prevents the Marmot PreCip Safari hat from flying away on windy days.

Good sombrero, needs change

Love the fact that it has a mesh lining vs the Nylon/polyester that the Outdoor Research Seattle Sombrero has. Three experienced hikers where in REI the same day I was and they had moved on from the Seattle Sombrero b/c they over heated in they sombrero. The Marmot PreCip Safari is perfect if you don't encounter winds during a rain storm (like that happens) Other wise from the last 3 days of use the brim folds right up to the side magnets and then you are better just taking the sombrero off. The Brim is way too flimsy, does not stay shaped and blows up to magnets in the wind :( Other wise the Marmot sombrero does WONDERFUL job at keeping you dry in a DOWNPOUR! I actually had a small amount of rain sitting on top of the brim 2 days ago when there was no wind while using the sombrero. Wish Marmot would have used regular snap buckles one the sides and then this sombrero would be bombshell!!!!
