Great for school
I purchased this for my 10 yr old for a school back pack. I was tired of the disposable stuff they push at back to school time and as he roughes it with me camping I wanted a light pack for him to carry his gear. This has been perfect for both duties. He likes the no zipper large compartment with the tough but lightweight material and the fact that orange is is favorite color iced the deal. I'll report back on how well it stands up throught the school/camping season. I'll give 5 stars if it survives the year.

Nice but didn't fit me.
I purchased this as a day pack for hiking to replace an ancient one with a broken zipper. It appeared to be made well and is really light and compressible. I thought it would be great to stuff in luggage for air travel.I'm 5'3" and I couldn't get it adjusted enough to be comfortable. I think it would be great for a taller person. I had to return it and spend the $$ on a women specific

Nice, light, straight-forward daypack
I wanted a lightweight day pack for day tripping: hiking, letterboxing, geocaching, et c. Nothing big, bulky, complicated or expensive. I looked at a number of packs and did a lot of comparison shopping. I was drawn to the Marmot Kompressor, it has everything I was looking for except mesh water bottle pockets. I've used my un-insulated water bladders in winter successfully MOST times but I do like having the option to use a water bottle or t

Good, but a few missing pieces..
Overall, the pack is well constructed. However, I used it for about a week and the draw cord at the top ripped and I could no longer cinch the top of the pack. Also, I really wish it had more lash po

Great all arounder
This pack is great; you can use it for day hikes, travel, school, the gym (easy to clean and doesn't hold smells) etc. Has stood up to being thrown in and out of the car, drawer at work and lockers (got scraped against a sharp edge of a locker and it didn't rip at all). Once empty (or not full) gets really small and compact.

Lightweight with Lots of Detail
Overall, a phenomenal pack with lots of the useful little nuances that are usually sacrificed for lighter weight. That said, I would prefer a bit more padding in the shoulder straps. I haven't had to carry too much weight in it, yet, but I have a feeling they'll dig a little because they're pretty thin. But that's not too big a deal.
