My first Mammut and it won't be my last
I've worn this Mammut jacket for a few months now and taken them to a few cold weather outings. First of all, the bad. The main zipper is not an easy one to operate. It normally takes me a 3-4 tries before I can latch it properly and zip it up. The zipper is a two way zipper, where you can unzip it from the bottom to access whatever in your belt area. The other zippers on the jackets are fine. The inside of the pockes also uses a different materials (similar to Marmot's Driclime) which I don't really like. It's the kinds of materials that isn't very comfortable if you have dry skins on your hands, which most of us probably do. With they'd just use the same materials as the outer layer.Overall, I really like this jacket, it provides a very good warmth (not as warm as down jacket), excellent windbreaker, good enough hood with some adjustments points, still warm even when wet and seems fairly durable. I was out taking picture around midnight at Zion NP, temp around 26F, standing still with my tripod, wearing a heavy weight baselayer and fleece underneath this jacket and I was warm the whole two hours I was out there. If only I can say the same about my hands. When
