Capt. Dave's Dockside
This family-owned, waterfront restaurant has been in business on Murrells Inlet since 1975. It serves lunch and dinner, and there is a daily happy hour. Patrons can dine indoors, or outside in the open-air pavilion. Thursday through Saturday, there is live piano jazz. The menu includes oysters, shrimp, crab cakes and blue fin tuna, but don't miss the flounder, which is locally caught. Most entrees are prepared over a sizzling charcoal pit.

Rockefellers Raw Bar
This seafood joint does "infamous" steam-kettled shellfish at the bar, served with your choice of classic seasonings, from marinara sauce to Old Bay and beer. On the dinner menu, there is everything from lobster to southern-style seafood fare like shrimp and grits. Rockefeller's might not be an exercise in fine dining, but fans of big piles of steamed seafood or oysters on the half-shell love it.
