List of Transatlantic Airlines
For many, the only realistic way to reach Europe is by flying. It saves time, money, and is generally more comfortable than taking one of the few boats that still make transatlantic journeys. Many airlines provide services to and from Europe, here is a short list of some major airlines with transatlantic flights.

United Airlines

With hubs in Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C., United flies to eight European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom with stops in major cities such as Moscow, Munich, London, and Paris. Non-stop and connecting flights are offered. United is part of the Star Alliance. Full meal and beverage services are offered on Transatlantic flights; in flight entertainment is provided.

American Airlines

American Airlines' major hubs are in Dallas/Fort Worth, New York, Miami and Chicago. From these main hubs, non-stop and connecting flights leave for eight European destinations including Belgium (Brussels), France (Paris), Germany (Frankfurt), Ireland (Dublin), Italy (Milan, Rome), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid), Switzerland (Zurich) and the United Kingdom (London, Manchester). American Airlines is a member of the Oneworld alliance. Meals and beverages are served onboard during Transatlantic flights. Movies and other entertainment are provided.

British Airways

From its two major hubs at London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport, British Airways flies connecting and non-stop flights to points throughout North and South America as well as the Caribbean. Stops in North America include most major cities throughout the continental United States, Mexico City, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver and Bermuda. Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo are the only South American destinations. British Airways flies to 11 destinations in the Caribbean including Barbados, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Jamaica and Saint Lucia. British Airways is part of the Oneworld alliance. In flight movies, beverages, and meals are all complimentary on transatlantic flights.

Lufthansa

Based out of Frankfurt and Munich, Lufthansa has daily transatlantic flights from points throughout Europe. Lufthansa offers direct and connecting flights to destinations in North and South America. Lufthansa stops at cities throughout the United States including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Orlando. Additional North American stops include Mexico City, Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary. In South America, flights arrive and depart from Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, and Caracas. Lufthansa is part of the Star Alliance and provides complimentary meals, movies, and beverages on all transatlantic flights.
