Rocky Mountain National Park is located between the cities of Fort Collins and Boulder in north central Colorado. This park is filled with small streams and lakes teeming with a variety of fish. Fly fishing trips frequently yield a variety of trout including brown, brook, cutthroat and rainbow varieties. Guided fly fishing trips offer many benefits for visitors who are unfamiliar with the park, and will help you find the best locations and make the most out of your fishing expedition.

Colorado Trout Hunters

Colorado Trout Hunters offers a guided fly fishing trip into Rocky Mountain National Park in pursuit of trout. These trips are catch and release only. Rods, reels and terminal tackle are provided as well as waders and boots. Flies can be included at an additional cost. Admission to the park and a Colorado fishing license are not included. A half day trip is $250 for one person, $275 for two people, and $310 for three people. A full day trip is $300 for one person, $350 for two people, and $415 for three people.

Kirks Flyshop

Kirks Flyshop offers a variety of guided fly fishing trips in Rocky Mountain National Park. Available trips range from stops at easy-to-drive-to locations to horseback, llama pack and overnight backcountry trips. Whether you want to hike to a nearby stream or backpack to a high mountain lake, rods and waders are included. A snack and drink will be provided on the four-hour trip and a lunch and drink are provided on six- and eight-hour trips. A fishing license is not included but can be purchased from Kirks Flyshop. A four-hour trip costs $150 for one person, $210 for two people and $295 for three people. A six-hour trip costs $200 for one person, $270 for two people and $360 for three people. An eight-hour trip costs $245 for one person, $330 for two people, and $395 for three people. Longer trips are planned according the group's preferences and prices will vary.

Wild Basin Outfitters

Guided fly fishing trips lasting anywhere from four to eight hours can be booked with Wild Basin Outfitters. This company provides a rod, reel, flies and waders. Snacks and water are included on all trips and a lunch is also provided for eight-hour trips. Park admission and a fishing license are not included in the price. Four-hour trips cost $165 for one person or $225 for two people. Six-hour trips are $225 for one person and $300 for two people. A full day, eight-hour trip is $250 for one person or $350 for two people. Backcountry fly fishing and group excursions are also available. Prices for these trips will vary depending on the specifics of your trip.
