Less than 40 miles south of Portland, the small town of Ogunquit, home to just over 1,000 people, is one of Maine's most popular tourist destinations. Its tranquil surroundings and beautiful beaches draw visitors from all over the northeastern seaboard to Ogunquit's simple charm. In the summer, popular activities include fishing, boating, and all things beach related. In the fall, Ogunquit makes for a good base in which to explore the region, hike into forests and photograph the leaves changing colors.

The Ogunquit River Plantation

With views of both the river and the Atlantic Ocean, The Ogunquit River Plantation puts guests in a natural surrounding filled with trees and wildlife. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the two nearby beaches where guests can kayak, surf, and SCUBA dive.
