Things to Do in Soho, NYC
The area of New York City known as SoHo got its name from the fact that it is south of Houston Street. The area has changed throughout its history from a bustling city center to an area popular with artists. Today the area remains a popular destination for travelers visiting the city, and there are many different things to do in SoHo.

Walking Tour

If you're looking for a way to burn calories and stay active, try taking a walking tour of SoHo. There aren't any set walking tours, but many visitors enjoy walking around the city on their own. The cast iron-buildings in the area are second to none, and there are several buildings with historical landmark status. You can also take a break by darting into one of the art galleries or stopping for lunch at one of the numerous diners and cafes.

Soho Shopping Tour

If you're in the mood to take a walking tour that will help you save money, join the SoHo shopping tour, which also covers parts of Nolita. The tour departs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the DKNY store in SoHo and takes guests on a tour of the hidden and underground stores in the area where the celebrities shop. The tour leader also fills you in on celebrity gossip and the history of important buildings in the neighborhood. As an additional bonus, you are privy to certain deals and discounts in shops that are only available to those on the tour.

Savory Sojourns

Savory Sojourns offers food-based tours around New York, including a food tour of SoHo and Little Italy. The tour departs from a bakery in SoHo before touring famous buildings and eateries in the area. The tour also includes lunch made by a chef at one of the restaurants and visits to local shops, where you'll enjoy fresh food tastings.
