Things to Do in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania
Lake Harmony is part of Carbon County in Pennsylvania. Offering skiing, golfing and camping, it's a beautiful location located in the Pocono Mountains. The area is a popular destination for tourists and those wanting to escape the city, and there are two resorts in town offering plenty of recreational activities for their guests.

Lake Harmony and Big Boulder Lake

Lake Harmony offers all kinds of activities in and around two separate lakes. Visitors can enjoy sailing and swimming. You can take a boat out on Lake Harmony or Big Boulder Lake to just roam around or do a little fishing. You can also fish along the edge of the water, or sit on the shore and watch the world go by.

Boat rentals are available at Split Rock Resort, and a fly fishing shop called Evening Hatch is located in town if you need any special equipment or more supplies.

The Big Boulder Lake area is also home to Big Boulder Ski Resort where visitors can enjoy some winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing.

Hickory-Run State Park

Hickory-Run State Park is located near Lake Harmony. It offers all kinds of outdoor activities while visiting the area. The park takes up almost 16,000 acres of Carbon County and rests at the edge of the Pocono Mountains. There are miles of hiking trails, streams for fishing and a boulder field. The boulder field is a popular tourist spot with boulders covering the area and is listed as a national natural landmark.

The lake is open for swimming from May until September, and there are picnic areas scattered around. Camping is allowed in designated areas with a camp store offering basic supplies so that you do not have to travel out of the park.

H2O ooohh Indoor Family Water Park

H2O ooohh Indoor Family Water Park is next to Split Rock Resort. It is an indoor water park with many activities that include a continuous wave flow for surf practicing, a wave pool with six foot waves, a slide tube for entire families to ride at once, and a three-story structure with water toys for soaking down everyone in sight. There is also an area for smaller children to play without getting trampled by the larger kids.
