Red Lion Pub
The Red Lion Pub is considered to be one of the most haunted restaurants in Chicago. The building was constructed in 1882 and has housed a variety of establishments in its time including a saloon, gambling hall, laundry facility, produce store and novelty shop. During the pub's renovation, a slew of ghost sightings began to take place. Some of the pub's ghostly residents include a girl who signals her presence with the scent of lavender, and the father of the pub's previous owner, John Corwell. Ghostly presences are said to be felt beside the pub's stained glass window, and in the women's restroom and apparitions have allegedly been sighted throughout the building.
