Embassy Suites Hotel
Embassy Suites is one of the best hotels in Waikiki for families or large groups traveling together. The hotel offers spacious one- and two-bedroom suites, each with a balcony from a bedroom and the living area. The decor is strictly island with lots of carved wood and pineapples. The outdoor pool is heated and lies between the two towers. Breakfast is cooked to order. The well-stocked fitness is conveniently available 24 hours a day for jet lagged guests still on their home time. The only real drawback is there is no direct beach access.

Moana Surfrider
This was the first luxury resort to open in Waikiki, way back in 1901. You can expect to see many wedding guests in their finest rushing around as you make your back and forth to the beach or the nearby trails as this is a very popular location for weddings. The hotel has a top flight spa and even a private beach and cabana to enjoy. Check out the kids program of sports and activities of you have children between 6-12.

Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber
One of the nicest amenities of the Ohana Beachcomber is its early arrival program where you don't have to wait around to check in. Just check in your bags, pick up a pager, and hit that paradise on the beach. The other prime amenity here is the fabulous ocean view, so try to stay away from the standard room and go for one of the deluxe rooms with the view. This is also a great place to watch the parades and festivals that regularly make Waikiki such a party beach.

Waikiki Sand Villa
Although this Waikiki hotel is considered less expensive than the bigger name chains, don't think that means you'll be sacrificing quality. The hotel surely does not look at beautiful as others in Waikiki and the decor is not as attention-grabbing, but the rooms are large and the amenities often outstrip some of the more expensive places. You get free Internet access, a huge 70-foot long pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a special computer room with webcams so that you can let your friends and family back home actually see how you're doing. The big downside is that the beach is fair walk away, but for outdoors enthusiasts this will be more than worth the economic saving.
