Sagamore Hotel
You can be forgiven for confusing the Sagamore with an art museum the first time you see it. This South Beach hotel is a work of art in itself. The suites look more like a big city apartment than a hotel room and include a kitchenette and large whirlpool tub. The rooms are also equipped with 42-inch TV sets, a minibar and CD player. The hotel offers guests a fitness center, spa and the most artistic game room you've ever been to. The video garden is another aspect of this hotel that makes it seem like a museum, as the plasma screens feature a wide variety of constant programming.

Raleigh Hotel
The Raleigh Hotel is a prime example of 1940s art deco that made South Beach famous. The palm-lined pool seems to have arrived intact from a more sophisticated past and making a splash is a fantastic way to start or end the day. One of the best rooms in the hotel is named after classic movie star Esther Williams and you almost expect to see her climbing out of the pool. Rooms feature big-screen televisions, DVD players and wireless Internet. The comeback of the martini bar hasn't taken place at the Raleigh, because it never left. Stay at the right time and you just might find yourself coming face to face with the more hipper celebs who frequent the Raleigh Hotel.
