List of Manhattan Hotels

List of Manhattan Hotels
Biking in Manhattan is a common recreational activity, as is taking a run around the reservoir in Central Park. Several urban hiking trails are also available in New York City, and finding a hotel with a nice luxurious tub or pool in which to rest your weary bones, or a spa where you can have your sore muscles massaged, is anything but difficult in this city. Of course, you may have to take into consideration just how much you want to pay for the privilege of deluxe accommodations.

Jumeirah Essex House

Essex House offers rooms, suites and junior suites that are all stylishly decorated. The primary difference between the rooms is size and scenic views. The hotel is located right to Central Park and so many of the rooms look down upon this city landmark. Amenities include a full service spa. The location next to Central Park puts you close to an ice skating rink, trails and rock-climbing walls.

Gramercy Park Hotel

When you enter the Gramercy Park Hotel lobby and see that amazing chandelier, you know you're in a hotel designed with class and elegance. The rooms are designed with a sense of the Renaissance and the penthouses all give a view of Gramercy Park. The gym is the absolute state of the art and was designed a former middleweight boxing contender. The private roof club and garden is the perfect place to unwind from New York City stress.

Larchmont Hotel

A more affordable Manhattan hotel can be found in Greenwich Village. The Larchmont Hotel may not be as fancy as other places, but if you are looking for a European-style experience, this is the spot. The rooms feature a writing desk and a little library as well as a wash basin. You'll have to share the bathroom down the hall, but the cost makes up for that inconvenience. The staff speaks many languages, making the Larchmont Hotel idea for international visitors.

Belvedere Hotel

The Belvedere Hotel is located in Midtown and offers both deluxe and executive rooms, the primary difference being that the executive rooms offer more luxury, such as marble bathrooms. Befitting a boutique hotel, the fitness center is on the small side, but has state of the art equipment. The concierge service is excellent. The best thing about the Belvedere Hotel is its proximity to the theatre district and the nearby restaurants so you don't have to pay for a cab to get good food.
