Abilene KOA
Just off of Interstate 20 on Abilene's northwest side, the Abilene KOA offers accommodations for RVs and tent camping in a shady, tree-filled field. The KOA also has special one- and two-room cabins. The entire campground is equipped with wireless Internet access. RV sites have electricity and cable TV access. The pool is open from May to October, and walking trails through the Pecan Grove allow for natural recreation. The KOA provides hot showers and clean bathrooms.

Abilene State Park
Twenty miles south of downtown Abilene, Abilene State Park offers a variety of campsites, from tent sites with water and picnic tables to fully equipped sites with electrical hookups, water and dump stations that are suitable for RVs and large vehicles. Visitors can hike through the forest, bike on trails, fish in the pond and lake, observe wildlife and swim in the park's seasonally open pool. The park has bathrooms with showers.

Sweetwater RV Park
Thirty-seven miles west of Abilene in nearby Sweetwater, home of the annual World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup, the Sweetwater RV Park offers spacious sites designated for RVs with electrical hookups and water. Clean bathrooms and showers and on-site laundry facilities make for comfortable camping. Guests have wireless Internet access anywhere in the campground. From the campground, guests can look out onto a lake and watch the nearby electricity-producing windmills create eco-friendly energy.
