Chez Josephine
African-American dancer Josephine Baker had to go to France to become famous and so it is no surprise that this restaurant opened by Baker's son is one of the best French restaurants in the city. Enjoy the food while you also enjoy top flight musicians. Reservations are highly recommended as this is a popular spot for the theater patrons to get in dinner before the show. Menu highlights include items like black tiger shrimp, roasted Long Island duck breast, and black angus filet mignon.

Le Cirque 2000
Le Cirque 2000 is 16,000 square feet of whimsy when it comes to design. Bring your credit card because you may feel anything but a sense of whimsy after looking at your bill. Of course, Le Cirque offers some of the best food in all of New York so you should not mind the prices too much. You have your choice of dining in either the cafe or the restaurant and both serve up extensive choices. Test the limits of your palate in the cafe by ordering up the octopus salad or go more conservative with items like salmon filet or bavette steak. Among the more interesting menu selections inside the restaurant are halibut poached in coconut milk and torchon of foie gras. Reservations well in advance are necessary and men must wear a jacket and tie.
