Kayak Lessons for All Ages
Kayak Power has several different kayak lessons to choose from. These range from lessons for the beginner who needs to get comfortable in the water to tips and help for seasoned kayakers who wish to improve their skills. Kayak Power offers specific classes for children, as well as team-building exercises, camps and basic introductory workshops suitable for classroom demonstration or even for scouting groups. In addition to providing kayaking instruction, Kayak Power also schedules regular kayaking trips. Courses are held at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area and also at White Rock Lake.

Professional Kayak Instruction in Dallas
Trinity River Expeditions, a canoe and kayak tour service in the Dallas area, recommends that students seek instruction from Dave Holl, of Kayak Instruction, Inc. Dave is an ACA whitewater kayak Instructor, an ARC lifeguard, a Wilderness First Responder, a participant in the Boy Scouts of America's Circle Ten Venture program (kayak consultant) and Merit Badge Counselor with over 30 years of kayak Instruction experience. Mr. Holl has completed the ACA Essentials of River Safety course and is a certified rescue instructor, plus he's a World Kayak Certified Pool/Lake and Basic Whitewater instructor.

Paddle Bound River Outfitters
Just outside of Dallas, Paddle Bound River Outfitters has been serving Dallas-Fort Worth since 2004. Formerly known as Double M Canoes, this company offers kayaking classes year-round. In the warmer months, classes take place on the waterways surrounding Dallas, and in the cooler months, they're in the swimming pool at the Northeast Campus of Tarrant County College. Paddle Bound provides lifejackets, kayaks and paddles. Private and small group classes can be scheduled and use of your own equipment is permitted. All instructors are certified through ACA, the American Canoe Association.
