Business Pursuits
The Dubai Airport, in the United Arab Emirates, is one of the few airports in the world with a business center open to everybody. Aside from meeting rooms, there is also full secretarial service, Internet access, printing and office facilities and fax machines.
Health and Fitness
G-Force, the airport's health club, has not only a workout area, but also a large swimming pool, whirlpool and Jacuzzi. There's also a full-scale spa that specializes in massage services. There are separate areas for men and women here, as there are in many Middle Eastern countries. There are men and women's lounges and relaxation centers, as well as a play area for kids. For those with health concerns, the airport has a full-scale medical facility.
Shopping
Considered one of the largest duty-free areas in the world (the duty-free shop occupies the whole first floor of the airport), shopping at the Dubai Airport is like shopping at a giant mall. Brand name stores, a flower shop, bookstores and sports wear can all be found here, as well as unique local products and souvenirs. And, if you choose, you can even ship your purchases home through the airport's post office.
Dining
Once your feet are done with all the walking and shopping, the airport offers 25 options for dinning, having a quick snack or trying out a drink. There are cafes, fine restaurants, quick-food stops and even a myriad of products to buy, including confectionary items, delicatessen products and health food. Aside from the obvious Starbucks and McDonald's, some of the airport's most popular choices include Safar, offering international cuisine, and Bistro, with a large selection of Lebanese dishes.
