List of Hotels in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe exists to serve those who love the great outdoors. The winter season brings enough snow to meet the needs of every skier and snowboarder. Summer in Lake Tahoe is shorter than the winter sports season, but during those few months, there are opportunities galore for hiking, biking, and hitting the lake for some great water activities. Fortunately, all year-round, Tahoe has great accommodations for you to relax and recover.

Embassy Suites

Located on Lake Tahoe's South Shore district, Embassy Suites is a great choice for those who don't want to stay in a hotel with a casino. The hotel has 400 two-room suites featuring either a king or two double beds. Most suites also feature a sofa bed in the living room. Amenities include a heated indoor pool, fitness center and a very nice winter sports store during the season. Parents should check out the hotel's Kids Camp for children aged 6 to 13.

River Ranch Lodge

Head to North Lake Tahoe to check into River Ranch Lodge. This cozy lodge has just 19 rooms and all have a great river view--some rooms feature private balconies overlooking the river. Its proximity makes this ideal for tourists looking to get in some rafting on the river or hiking along the banks. You won't find a lot of fancy amenities, but it's a great choice for those looking for a better sense of Tahoe before it became such a hot tourist spot.

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa, and Casino

The east shore of Lake Tahoe serves up the Hyatt Regency Hotel. This throwback to the alpine glamour of the Tahoe of the 1920s has everything a visitor could ask for. All 449 rooms are spacious and comfortable, but for real luxury, try to get one of the six suites on the tower. For more privacy, look into one of the 24 cottages fronting the lake. The enormous indoor heated pool is more like a hot springs lake. The centerpiece of the Hyatt Regency is the Stillwater Spa. Hikers, bikers, swimmers and skiers should especially check out the Sports Massage Treatment.
