Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers everything visitors could need for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. The resort boasts five golf courses, two tennis complexes and a variety of accommodations including The Sanctuary Hotel and Resort Villas. A wide variety of dining options are available at the resort as well, including a steakhouse, seafood restaurant and Italian restaurant. Guests looking to relax and unwind can visit The Sanctuary Spa, which offers facial and body treatments, massages and salon services. While the adults are enjoying a quiet afternoon, children ages 3-11 can attend Kamp Kiawah.

Kiawah Beachwalker Park

Kiawah Beachwalker Park offers the only public beach access on the island. A lifeguard is on duty seasonally in the designated swimming area. A snack bar and beach chair and umbrella rentals also operate seasonally. Kiawah Beachwalker Park provides several beach amenities including restrooms, dressing areas and outdoor showers. Picnic areas can be found in the park as well, complete with grills. Visitors may even be able to spot dolphins playing in the water. The park is open from March through October with varying hours.

Heron Park Nature Center

The Heron Park Nature Center, located in Night Heron Park, is an excellent resource for exploring the diverse wildlife of Kiawah Island. The center opens daily at 8:30 a.m. Here, visitors can explore exhibits and interactive displays detailing plants and animals of the island. The Kiawah Nature Shop provides a variety of clothing, outdoor gear and souvenirs. The staff at the Heron Park Nature Center can help to direct visitors to some of the island's hot spots. This is also a great stop for finding more information on local nature activities, tours and programs.
